Cut propecia 5mg losing potency?

I have a quick question regarding cut Propecia.

I recently cut 28 5mg into quarters, giving me a daily dose of 1.25mg, I put them all in a tub and thought nothing of it.

This was a few months ago, and now I am wondering if that was a bad idea as maybe the cut pills could lose potency?

Anybody have any info on this? Have I messed up?
