[21] On Finasteride and Thinking about Minoxidil

Hey all,

I am 21 years old and have been taking finasteride for 10 months now and have seen no improvement, if anything my hair has gotten a little worse. I have a few quwstions:

a) Would you get on minoxidil if you were me? If so, what are the chances it would give me a normal hairline again?
b) Should I expect to see any improvements in the remaining 2 months? After the 12 months?
c) What stage of Norwood would you say I am and is it noticeable?

I am checking back in with my dermatologist at the 12 month mark. So, I kind of feel like maybe I should let him assess the situation and see if he feels minoxidil will be an asset to me or not. Being 21 and losing my hair has been a real challenge and blow to my confidence. I really am hoping I can hold on to my hair in hopes that something new and better is on its way. Minox will only help, so it would be a good idea to do so. Remember, fin's goal is to slow down hair loss, so even if you lose some hair on fin, you'd be much worse without it!
