Really trying to figure out where I lie...

So, my father has a ridiculous set of hair. He is 63 and has grey curls. His hair has receded but not enough to even count. Hairline wise he's up there.

The thing is, I don't know where I lie.

My hairline is an absolute mess, and what makes it so hard is that it's uneven! It is the EXACT Same as my dads. He calls it a "High hairline".

I'll try to work up an example here

    -

You see, on the left side of my hair, it bends in like that but not as extreme. On the right side, it just has curvature but doesn't seem to be receding.

My uncle is also 65 with long thick black hair with a hairline better than a 15 year old. My moms father only lost his hair when he was around 75 - 80.

It is normal to have hair that isn't going back but has a general curvature to it? I always thought that was normal until I saw people like this

His hair is literally straight across! It looks manufactured.

I mean, I look like my dad, have curly hair like him and the same hairline, but even my mother has a hairline that bends back and so does my sister and brother. They could care less but I get paranoid.

Johnny depp's picture is mine to a T and I don't understand it.

For what it's worth, I don't shed. I literally don't lose a single hair in the shower, but my hairline shape really throws me off.

ANY help would be awesome. Thank you.

Joe Tillman has written that in most men, the right side recedes more. Mitt Romney is an exception, he has more recession on the right.

You may have a bit of temporal recession going on, but I wouldn't advise you to get surgery, you are just being too hard on yourself. Try styling it differently.
