Post Anyone of you guys have had success with long fin use 10+ even 15+ years

does it stop further shedding after a long period of use or does the body up-regulate dht receptors as I've read here somewhere and it loses its effectiveness

    "body up-regulate dht receptors "

Who comes up with this stuff? People just invent side effects. One guy didn't want to take sides bc it would "affect" weightlifting...

There haven't been any studied around it but it is believed that this is the reason behind excessive shedding after stopping fin, I mean faster hairloss that before starting it

Yes, I'd love to hear what long time users have to say.

Why is it that happens that fin would lose effectiveness like that? Its hard to understand that unless hair becomes more sensitive to androgens or other forms of androgen like T begin to take the place of DHT. What else even makes sense there.

No. It's very simple. Recently, one guy talked about his experience with finasteride on a forum. It "stopped working" after 13 years. He made a blood test and go figure: His DHT levels were 32 ng/dl something - i.e. borderline normal. This means that finasteride in this guy has never worked properly since the very beginning!

When you lower your DHT levels via finasteride, you can temporarily get on a level, where your hair follicles won't be immediately affected, but the cumulative effect may manifest after several years. This also explains, why older men lose hair at a slower rate than younger men. Their hair follicles are more resistant, but they will succumb to the cumulative effect after many decades.

The problem with finasteride is the fact that individual reactions vary a lot: The average suppresion is 70%, but the standard deviation is +/- 20%! This means that nearly 20% men experience DHT suppression by only 50%. These guys belong to those 10-20%, in which finasteride doesn't stop hairloss.
