Popped,, hi and welcome to this forum!!
You are at the RIGHT place for realistic and commonsense advice.

That photo of you looks A-OK!
You actually look cool! with a shaved head and the 'goatee' ... Not just saying that my friend.
You look to be a CONFIDENT young man!!

I was going to do the same in 2013 but I had decided to try out Finasteride instead. So far so good after 19 months of its use.

What NW scale would you say that your hair was at before shaving it off?

    Cheers..

(Hey Notcoolanymore,, what do you think of Popped? Notcool' is actually a COOL guy Popped)

      Hey Artista,

Thanks for the compliment. I would say I'm at a NW 4 now. I started loosing my hair during my senior year of high school and finally became aware of its issue right before college. My first year, I always wore a hat. Second/Third year, I trimmed my hair at its shortest. Now as a senior, I shave EVERYDAY using a safety razor (saves $$).

Nice to hear back from you Popped!
        A NW4 isn't too bad .
Have you ever considered trying Finasteride?
Please don't automatically think that you would experience a bad side-effect from it.
Give it a thought my friend .
But of course, if you are beginning to feel comfortable with having a shaved head look
(which actually looks good on you )
Then there would be no need for anything else!!
Hope Notcool' responds soon, you will appreciate his postings bro....

You look like a bad ass, go with it!! As you will notice from many posts on hair loss forums, trying to keep your hair can be a lot of work and take quite the emotional toll. Look at it this way - you recognized you were losing your hair young, you dealt with it and you are one of the lucky ones that makes it look good. Adopt this look full time and don't look back. Other wise you will most likely end up in your 30's and still be obsessed with your hair, like me.

I've tried Finasteride for a good year, but I later thought "**** it." haha

I rather take control of who I am than depend on a pill.

All I have to say is if you can look in the mirror and like what you see then you are all good. Don't waste your time worrying about this shit like I do.

Yeah some people can do that and not care. More power to you but just remember there might not be any going back on that decision if you change your mind later. Its kind of a once its gone its gone kind of thing now.
I will say I dont like the idea of needing a pill like that either not to mention altering your hormones just seems like a bad idea to me long term. What good can come from that.
