    Questions post FUT

    Hello all,

I had a hair transplant procedure a few weeks ago. Now I am in the shedding phase, which is exciting, but I have noticed that the grafts to my right temple have shed faster than grafts to the left temple and the rest of the scalp. Should I be worried, or is this simply a case of "different hairs fall out at different times, stop worrying"?

    Thanks,

    PVM

    Ponti,

Welcome back to this community as I just noticed you joined back in 2009, and congrats on your recent procedure...

You assumed correctly that the grafts shed intermittently so it's not abnormal that one side started shedding before the other side.

And it's a good thing that they shed at different times because the entire scalp stays in hair production overall. That way we maintain an appearance of having decent visual coverage compared to having periods of thinning and visual loss of density.

The best is yet to come; when your regrowth kicks in. Best wishes to you in the coming months as your procedure matures...
