Im new and I need your help please...
Hi guys,
I introduce myself first,
I am 24years old boy from france ( excuse me in advance for my futures grammar mistakes....)
I knew since a very long time that I will be bald one day due to the fact that my father and both my grand father ( on my mother side and father side) are bald...
As everyone already know in most of the case its an genetic hereditary cause..
I would say I started to lose my hair around 20-21.. I am using minoxidil 5% for more than 2 years now ( more precisely rogaine that I import form USA, I was using the foam but I swtiched to the liquid because I thought the foam was not efficient on me).
The fact is my hair keep falling, all those little hair that I let every time behind me, I feel like losing my hair its like diying slowly, I look more and more ugly and lose my confident ( a lot)
I am not here to be judged ( and i dont want this kind of comment: just assume what you are, shave your hair bla bla bla) I am here to find help and comprehension... My hair is my life and it will always be like that ( I know it can be crazy for some of us) I guess everybody has different perception, need, experience.
I would like to ask you guys, if you have any recommendation for me, any tips, any treatment.. (PS I dont want to use any medecine with secondary effect like finasterine of those stuff that are for me too dangerous)
I will be considering the surgery for later ( please look at my photo) when my calvitie will be more advanced.
Thanks in advance for those who will take the time to help me and reply me...

If you are considering having surgery by having a hair transplant then most hair transplant doctors will recommend that you take finasteride before and after your hair transplant in order to stop and stabilise any further hair loss.
I can understand why you refuse to take finasteride and I have read that Keratene Retard is also a natural DHT suppressor, and can be used by people that do not want to use Finasteride. But, I have no personal experience of using Keratene Retard.

Those two statements do not belong together.
You are pretty much eliminating the best thing we have to keep your hair.

Well, I wont risk to take finasterine.
I see that many people taking so much differents medecines everyday and spend a lot of money.
A good FUE surgery is in my opinion after what I read and saw is the best. So my plan is to probably do a FUE for the front area I dont know the exact english name, and later when the back of my head begin to bald start another surgery for this part ( two surgery )
I am just asking if there are any treatment that could help my hair to stabilize like shampoo, vitamins and where could I buy them. If i continue minoxidile, add a good shampoo and eat vitamins maybe it can help me a little bit what do you guys think? I want to delay as much as possible the surgery...
Thanks for Ketarene retard I will check this..

Getting an FUE without finasteride would do more harm then good. What will you do when you continue to bald behind the FUE transplanted hairs? It would look horrible. No ethical doctor would perform a transplant without stabilizing your hair loss first. You could use minox, but minoxidil alone is rarely a long term fix by itself. There are no vitamins or shampoos that will stabilize your hair loss on their own.

If genetics is the reason behind your hair loss, no vitamin can serve you long term use. Vitamins like biotin can only cure hair loss when it is due to nutritional deficiency. You can use Minoxidil, Finasteride, which are currently gold standard treatment in initial stages of hair loss. Not everyone gets side effects from the medicines they take, if you take it under proper guidance, you will be benefited more than sides. So assume you will be in positive side and probably you will!!

Yeah but this: There are case reports of persistent diminished libido or erectile dysfunction after stopping the drug and the FDA has updated the label to inform healthcare professionals of these reports.
And the risk of cancer are scaring me so much I have to say..

Take the finasteride, its the best weapon there is currently, been taking it for a year now and have seen drastic effects. Wouldn't go without it.

Exactly if hair is his life then he should take finasteride.

You are not comfortable taking finasteride and that is OK. Do not take finasteride, but understand that you will continue to go bald. Just don't make the mistake of getting an FUE. Just accept that you will most likely be a young bald man and move on with your life.
