Where does your hair grow fastest?

My hair grows much faster on the top than on the back and the sides. I was thinking that maybe it isn't that certain hairs are resistant to DHT, but that they are actually less sensitive to prostglandins(ones that make them die, and ones that make them grow). I was thinking that may be why the hair on the back and sides doesn't grow as fast, and doesn't fall out either. I read an old thread on another forum where the opposite was the case though. Now I'm looking for more experiences, and hoping we can find a common thread. Please share as much information as you can about the growth of your hair, where you thinned, and how well you respond to various treatments.

My hair has always grown fast. The closer to the top of my head the faster it grows. Nothing has changed in that regard. I first noticed thinning on my hairline, and now I have diffuse thinning all over the top of my head. I respond very well to treatment with minoxidil, and RU.
