Recommended doctors in NJ / NY?
Hello all,
I wanted to find a good doctor I could consult to address my thinning hair. I'm not at a point where surgery needs to be an option. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in NJ or NY that will not cost a fortune? The only previous doctor I was recommended was $725 for the initial consultation (which was credited upon taking surgery, but I'm not at a surgery stage!).
Thank you!

Help? Or can someone advise where I should look/ask?

I went for a hair transplant consultation and instead of getting or scheduling one, we ended up just talking about what I should be removing and taking for my hair loss prevention. I used minox and finasteride, but was told to discontinue minox. Definitely go to Dr. feller in great neck Ny. He's the nicest and most honest guy and will tell you what to do and what not to do while giving your hair a good look over. It cost me 65.

Best place to find doctors who understand how to medically treat hair loss and who are considered the best hair transplant surgeons in New York is the IAHRS. Here’s a list of NY doctors http://www.iahrs.org/hair-transplant/new-york/ I know that Dr. Robert Bernstein is also a dermatologist and I think many of them do free consultations.

Thank you all for the recommendations! I will check our Dr. Feller first and see if he can help since I'm not a transplant patient.
