What is going on!!!
Hello I'm pretty desperate now, I live in oxford, England and I've been losing hair for 12 months constantly now. Been to the doctor who said I had mpb and pyrosis he then gave me steroid lotion. Wasn't convinced by his feedback so then got an appointment to see a dermatologist 3 months later who the told me I had alopecia areata as he saw scaling on the patch which is bald at the front of my head. Gave me another steroid lotion called betamethasone valerate which I also didn't use as still wasn't convinced. Waited for an appointment for a scalp biopsy and that is in May another 3 months of waiting!! Been told so many differant opinions now I dunno who to believe.
Got propecia pills waiting as I thought it could just be mpb but haven't touched um
My scalp itches, feels sore most of the time and my scalp feels tight at the front
I'm 27 this started a year ago never had issues before full head of hair not much mpb in the family
Photos are where I am at now! 10 months ago hair was full at front bar the 2cm square bold patch at the front. Now the patch is bigger and the thinning had spread across the front
Hair is getting worse and any feed back or advice would be great.

this is alopecia areata.MPB would not make u to loose your hair so rapidly. there is new drug for alopecia areta on which research is going on.

Thank you for the reply. Heard of rapid mpb hair loss before hence disbelief in bein alopecia areata. Is there history of people getting this randomly at my age? Steroid lotion betamethasone valerate any good anyone

Oops Steroid lotion betamethasone valerate was given for pyrosis! Got 2 x bottles. Clobetasol propionate was given from the derm for alopecia areata. Should I use it??

What Jazz1 said. And if you are losing hair that fast you don't have time to waste.
