    help needed

    hey guys,

im 22 years old and i was diagnosed with androgenic alopecia about a month.. im yet to start any treatment but following my research i decided to start with propecia and rogaine... they problem im experiencing is that if i pass my hand through my hair about 5-10 hairs fall out and my scalp is both flaking and itching consistently.. im would like to known why is it that my scalp is itching and flaking ? It is the dead follicules cells that is causing this? Is there any remedy available to stop the flaking/ itching? Im afraid to shampoo because i tend to lost atleast 10-15 hairs everytime i do.. your help will be highly appreciated..

    thank you

You can try Nizoral 2% shampoo that needs to be prescribed by a doctor. This will likely help with the itching and some hair restoration physicians believe it may also help with the prevention of hair loss. You have to give the Propecia and Rogaine a few months to start taking effect. When you do shampoo be a bit more gentle and try not to pull on the hairs. They are obviously in a weaker state currently and can be pulled out more easily.

T-gell shampoo made by Neutrogena is another option that you would not need a prescription for. This also works very well for itchy scalps. Good luck.
