Default MPB at the age of 17?

    Hey guys,

So I'm new to this and I just wanted to get some opinions besides my mothers. I am a 17 year old male and I believe that I already have male pattern baldness if that's possible. My hair is less full on the top of my head were MPB would take place. It's not like its crazy thin or anything but it's just noticeably less full when I'm close to a mirror and I have the bright bathroom light shining on it. I can confirm that it's less full on my crown and frontal area but it's not noticeable because of the length of my hair. I see a crap load of hairs (15-20) on my towel after taking a shower and sometimes during school I just take a finger pinch full of hair and slowly and gently pull on it to see if I lose any hairs, which I do sometimes. I've been using minoxidil for around 6 months now and I can't really say I have anymore hair now. I've been losing about the same amount of hair in the shower since before I started using minox but I can't say my hair is any less full, thank God. I also get severe seborrheic dermatitis and the thing is I only get it where my thinning scalp area is. It can get pretty severe sometimes, like not little specks but like huge flakes and I wasn't sure if that had anything to do with my thin hair. Hair also comes out with the clumps of dandruff that I pick at. I'm not sure whats happening to me and I want to see a hair dermatologist but my mom thinks I'm just overreacting and I've done so much research that sometimes I think that I know just as much as a dermatologist.
I really want to keep my hair until after I'm married at least haha. Losing my hair makes me really depressed and I feel a lot less confident which I'm sure everyone going through the same thing I am feels the same way. I'm only seventeen and if anyone could help me that would be great. I don't want to take finasteride because of all the crazy side effects that I keep reading about, I don't know if they are true are not but they still scare me. I was thinking about taking saw palmetto and beta sitosterol but yeah I just don't know. Is there anything I have to look forward to in the hair loss restoration industry in the future because I'm gonna have a long life ahead of me if I do end up bald by twenty. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it!!!

    Thank you, Eric

I'm 36, I began losing my hair at the age of 17. I'm a NW6 now, and I managed to regrow hair using minoxidil and azelaic acid, I wish I'd knew about this when I was your age.
Avoid finasteride and strip surgeries at all costs, and start saving for an fue transplant!
Get a usb microscope and a pimple remover to unclog your folicles, you'd be surprised what you'll see with the microscope
