Does thinning hair look thinner when long?
Just curious as to what everyone else thinks? Mines moderately long at the moment and appears much thinner now when it does when it's shorter. Maybe it's just my vantage point. What does everyone else think?

In short: yes.
It's not a vantage point
Thin hairs look less 'thinned out' when they're the same size as the thicker hair. Or better yet, the thick hair on the back and sides looks less thick in comparison to the thin hair when trimmed short thus somewhat camouflaging the horseshoe pattern.
There are some good styling options for the early 'receder' but imo shaving it short is still the best option for diffuse thinners.
