Default 22 Years Old -- Two Year Update Without Meds (Pics)

Hello everyone. I first joined this forum when I was 20 years old, but I have been tracking my hair loss since the last few months of when I was 19. After doing some research, I ordered some propecia during the summer of 2013, but I never actually used them. I decided to take the "wait and see" approach. Anyway, I am now 22 years old and I thought it was time I came back to see what you guys thinks. I'm going to upload the pics of the center, right side, and left side in two batches. The first will be of pics I took back in Dec 2012. The second batch is pics that I took just a couple of weeks ago towards the end of Dec 2014.

Some info about myself: the right side of my hairline has always been a bit higher than my left -- or at least it has been since I was around 16. I also have a cowlick on the right side. My father passed away when he was 32, but according to everyone he had a full head of curly black hair. Everyone on my moms side of the family has a full head of hair. Heck, my maternal grandmother is 87 and is NW1! On my paternal side, my grandfather is bald. I'm not as close to this side of the family, but all of the uncles and cousins that I have met or seen through pictures has a full head of hair.

A couple of other weird things about my hair: for some reason my hair is wavy at the top, but really curly on the sides. I also have a double whirl on my crown and another whirl on the lower-right corner of the back of my head where the hair meets the neck.

I'm new to this whole balding experience, but for 2 years I don't see anything drastic. Someone with more experience here will probably tell you.

Thank you for the reply, rootbeer5! I appreciate any and all input regarding this. I don't feel like my hair line has moved much, if at all. I just really want to get the input of others.

You showed some impressive courage, sir! Sticking out another two years without the meds. Imagine what would have happened if you would have used fin. You would have complained that it didn't do anything and would have convinced yourself it maintained your hair (and used it daily from then on).

I did the same thing as you did (except I used rogaine), but the balding is clearly visible with this one . And I hate being controlled by rogaine so much and want to blame my balding on her (although it doesn't make sense!). Good luck sticking out another year without the meds!

Some recession is normal. Nearly all men recede to varying degrees. Keep your eye out for thinning (hair miniaturization). Thinning can sneak up on you.

Do you mean it looks thicker now or it did back in 2012?
