Do Minoxidil side effects mean its working?

I've been on Minoxidil for a month and I have mild headaches and acne.
Hairfall was a little bad 2 weeks ago, but its almost back to normal now.

Does it mean Minoxidil is working for me?

Is your acne on the areas where you apply the minox (ie scalp) or on your face / cheeks? I am a mild acne sufferer and noticed a significant increase when a started minox, so I had to quit. Just wondering if it's a common side effect or just me

yea on my cheeks and forhead. wow, you had to quit because of that? must've been too much. I have like 3-4 big spots that grew in no time.
And yeah, It is a common side effect.

I just wanted to know if it means it's working.

That's surprising, all the people I've asked said that spots can only be caused on the scalp or the area of the application, not cheeks. I guess we're just exceptions. In terms of it working, it shows that it's absorbed in the blood stream, but not sure what it implies from a hair loss prevention standpoint.
