    Default Need some opinions

Hello, I'm 20 years old and wondering what's up with my hair. A couple of years ago, my temple hair receded a bit but it really hasn't done anything since. Recently out of curiosity I took a picture of the back of my head(crown area) and am not sure what to make of the pictures. No one in my family has lost their hair before age 30 or so. What do you all make of these pics?

    Wet hair:

It isn't apparent from the pictures but you are probably experiencing MPH. The pics show minimal balding (if any), but you should still consult a doctor and get on Propecia asap to at least slow down what could potentially be an aggressive balding somewhere down the line.

Any hairloss on your apex of your scalp looks so minimal at this stage its hard to tell if that will develop into a bald spot later or not.
But what most therapies can best promise is to lessen the fall out. If you do decide to go the route of treatments I can only give my own testimonial. I tried monoxadil, and it caused flakey scalp and light headedness (increased heart rate). Ok, so I then tried propecia. Its sexual side effects made that a non-option (maybe save some hair at the expense of limp erections and decreased sex drive..no thanks). On the advice of a friend I'm trying dutasteride and it looks very promising. Zero side effects and just after 5 months my mid-scalp area has visibly darkened and thickened. The apex and frontal areas have to yet to show any noticable change. I will give it another 7 months and then make the assessment if it is doing anything worthwhile or not, but so far its much better than the other two treatments.
    Best o' luck.
