Hello, I'm a 49 year old woman and recently over this year have been noticing my hair seemed to be thinning out. It wasnt until two weeks ago that I actually used a hand mirror to check my hair on top and was upset to see noticable loss at the part line.
I went to a medical Naturpath first who thought it was high Cortisol levels caused by stress and she's running blood tests on me.

However I am covering all bases so saw a Dermatologist and he thinks it's Androgenetic Alopecia. He gave me pills called Spiractin 100 to take each day to supposedly slow the process down. I've been reading up on this and its usually hereditary, but all my family have had good hair and so did I until this happened.

I'm currently doing other tests and will be seeing my other two Doctors in the next week.

If anyone has any advice on how I can block DHT in pills or shampoos please let me know or if you have any thoughts on this medication ive been put on.

Thanks in advance. I know Im a woman but as this is mostly what happens to men I guess the same things will work for my problem...
