Itching should go away in a week or two. However, few people continue to get for 2-3 months after beginning finasteride treatment. It’s just your body’s way of reacting to this new introduction. If it doesn’t stop, a visit to derm would be better. You may need Clobetasol to get rid of that itchiness. Testicular pain aka ball ache is a result of up regulation of Testosterone thanks to Fin. Like other said, be consistent and patient, for months to see visible difference. You can add saw palmetto to your regimen too as an additional help. Chances of regrowth vary individually that nobody can give you assurance for!!!

You can also try a more natural approach that helped me for blocking and regrowth.
This works for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfLkf5hn9aM (I don´t use the lavender oil though)

I juice a lot of greens also every day and drink chlorella powder, but you can probably skip the the juicing for comfort.
Because chlorella itself is so high in nutrition.

    Thumbs up

So its been around 5 weeks since I first started Ficar, I cant really see much change yet as expected, no real sides though still.

I think im analysing my hair loss too much so im trying to spend less time on the forums like I have been recently and just letting the fin do its job as much as it can. So im just going to post every month or two now with updates

I will perhaps add some minox in at the end of the year if theres no regrowth in the temples

Iv had a shorter haircut and i think it looks alot better

5 weeks is a very short period and on this stage, you will not get any improvements, but you will only get a depression. Less analysis - is a right decision.

    Hi Kacer1991,
Thanks for updates. You are right, it seems to be no real differences, but success is yet to come.

I know right. I think your right side is def a NW2, your left side seems to have receded more but still is something like NW2,5. Haircut looks good btw. The waiting game with finasteride can be annoying and in fact, you might not see any change at all. But remember: maintenance is also improvement.

    Best of luck!

Yeah one side is slightly more receded than the other, hopefully I'll maintain what I have and possibly get some slight regrowth.

I may end up getting the temples filled in surgically at a later day
