    Alberta doctor feedback

    Hi everyone,

I have been lurking on hairless sites for the last ten years. In the last ten years I have been on proscar and minoxidil.

    Currently looking into hair transplants.

Anyone have any feedback on dr.Elliott or de.nakatsui?

I will travel if need be like so many have advised but would like some feedback on the above doctors.

I've known Dr. Nakatsui off and on for ten years. He's a good doc, a good guy, and does solid work.

      Thanks Joe,

Would you recommend FUE or FUT for a patient that needs 1500 - 2000 grafts?

Also, when do you think the price of FUE will go down?

I visited your website a few times and I'm looking forward for what is to come in 2015.

I think that the type of procedure that is best depends on what your goals are and how you wish to style your hair, both now and in the future. At this time I do not believe either procedure is best based only on the number of grafts one is seeking as there are other variables to consider.

I'm not sure when FUE will come down in price or by how much but I think part of this will come from people realizing two things.

1.) There is a higher profit margin in FUE. Fewer technicians and overall staff are necessary for an FUE clinic thus the operating costs are far lower.

2.) The higher fee may not necessarily be paying for a doctor but rather a technician. I think that this should be revealed by the clinic up front, how much work does the doctor actually do as compared to the work performed by technicians and then weigh the cost.

          Thanks Joe,

That almost seems unethical to charge more for FUE than FUT if it's costing the clinic less.

Will it take a few clinics doing great work at lower costs to change the pricing philosophy in the industry?

Also, what other docs out there do you think are up and coming stars?

Unethical? I'm not so sure because it is not forcing anyone to pay the fee but rather potentially forcing them to go elsewhere. One thing I've learned in this industry is that it is rare that a doctor will hold steady on a fee. If they don't budge, they consciously don't want you as a patient or they think their s**t doesn't stink, or both.

Will it take a few clinics doing great work at lower costs to change the pricing philosophy in the industry?
Yes, I think this will cause a shift but enough practitioners will have to step up but there will always be those that will charge a premium for one reason or another. It won't be an across the board paradigm shift.

Also, what other docs out there do you think are up and coming stars?
I'm researching this and will let you know what I think once I've had enough time to evaluate. I see a few right now but I need to dig deeper.

              Thanks for the feedback.

In regards to doctor Nakatsui and Wong how much of differance is there in their results?

Is Nakatsui capable of giving a similar or superior result as Wong?

And yes a very open ended question! Haha.
