Hello,

I am a 24 year old male with shoulder long hair. Recently, one of my coworkers has made a comment that I have a bald spot on the back of my head. I freaked out and look in the mirror and it looked like I did. However I think it may be the way my cowlick is when my hair is pulled back. I'm just curious to as what others may have to say.

Hair needs a direction to lay. It's impossible with a hairstyle like yours for the scalp to not be visible. Unless you have super thick hair that sticks up and is not folded down of course. You have medium thickness hair. Are you going bald in your temples? If so you might want to consider finesteride.

It doesn't look like a "bald spot" to me. I think your thinking is right on this, though obviously I can't diagnose you.

Thank you for your opinions! I have been loosing some hair due to weight loss and dieting in the last few month so may hair may be a bit thinner than usual. But really, thanks again.
