Am i balding or no :( (with picture)
so i have been confused about if actually balding or not for about 2 years now...
I don't know if its the deadly combination of thin hair, greasy hair and 3 bright light bulbs on top of the mirror or actual baldness... I haven't seen much change in my hair for about 3-4 years now... my memory is faint but i remember noticing this in the mirror when i was about 16-17 (im 20 now)... i dont see any hair on my pillow in the morning, i don't see hair fall out when im showering (only on long weekends when i don't wash my hair for long time and i have super greasy hair) and i don't see hair on my brush, yet my hair looked like that now...
Im not trying to lie to myself or sugarcoat it, but, it was raining today and i did wear my hoodie the whole day and after coming home i had my headphones on the whole day in front of my computer... i usually put mousse in my hair and blowdry and it keeps my hair from getting greasy, but i left it natural today...
what do you guys think?

It looks to me like it could definitely be thinning. However, your scalp also looks quite red, so it's possible that it's thinning due to a scalp issue and not necessarily due to balding. Does your scalp itch or anything at all? The only way to know for sure what's going on though would be to schedule an appointment with a specialist. They can examine your scalp, your density, etc. and see what exactly's going on and provide you with some treatment options. It's definitely worth looking into in your case - and whatever is happening, it's great you're catching it now at a young age.

my scalp might look a bit red because i was brushing it for a bit to get a closer look into my hair... will a dermatologist be able to give me good advice. Also, Its worth mentioning that i took a blood test about 2-3 weeks ago and i was told i have almost no viamin D in my body, and the first thing the doctor said was "if you don't start taking vitamin D, you might go bald"
so i been taking D-3 pills 3000 UI every day (store didnt have 3000 UI so i just take 3x 1000 UI)

I know a lot of guy's who have never had their temples recede but go bald entirely long before people who have that temple recession.
To me it looks like you have some hair thinning but a derm will be able to tell you to what extent far more easily than I can by your photograph.
I know hair always looks thinner in bright lights, and even the thickets haired if my friends look like they could be balding under these conditions because the scalp is visible. Also doesn't help the image with the hair brushed back or standing straight up, light passes to the scalp far more easily.
Best of luck man, hopefully it is just the lights

I think Notcoolanymore is right, even granted the conditions under which the photo was taken. It would be great to see more angles and in different styles. But in any case, I would go to a dermatologist. It sounds like there may be other factors besides possible androgenetic loss.
Munky: Great observations. And yeah, bright lights drive me nuts. I keep my bathroom dimly lit (though I have bright lights that I can turn on too) because I don't know how normal what I'm seeing really is and I don't want to obsess in the mirror every day. Plus everyone looks better in general under dimmer lights.

Damn straight they do man hahahaha. That's why the lights on at the end of a day in a bar are termed the ugly lights!!
My hair always looks it's worst under bright lights as well. Bathroom I won't do anything about thiugh, I put a lot of work into it and it's staying the way it is. Classy, white and bright.

I feel you bro lol.
I do hope that the OP shows us some pictures with more variation in terms of lighting condition and hair style. Also, he's about a Kardashian V in terms of greasiness, and there's no doubt that this is confounding the assessment.
