Default Need desperate help re hair loss

im 23 and my hairloss that runs in the family is at a point were its making me depressed and if I'm honest, suicidal. I have been diagnosed with BDD / depression and this really isn't helping. I'm getting help for those things but I would still desperately like a transplant

My dad and older brother have the same hairline. My dads obviously has lost most of the hair on top of his head apart from round the sides and back. My brother is similar to mine tho if I'm honest not as bad as mine appears.

I've been using regaine for many months now and I'm not sure if it's helping or not.

I just need advice on what I should do next

If I fill in the gaps what would I do once the rest of the hair falls out etc..

Im using my iPad and have tried to attach an image so forgive me if it hasn't worked I will try and post one if not

If you want your hair to appear "normal" again you need to get on finasteride, then once your hair loss has stabilized, fill in the lost areas with a transplant.

Get on the big 3 (finasteride, minoxidil, nizoral shampoo) asap to halt hair loss and regrow what you can. I saw a guy name Zeroheat at ************ that was at a similar stage of hair loss likes yours and he regrew everything on the big 3. I'm not saying anyone should expect the same results but there is hope. Give the meds a year if you can tolerate it and see where you're at then. Good luck.

Thanks guys, forgot to say, I bought some Nizoral shampoo but when it arrived i wasn't sure if I'd got the right thing, it says it's for dandruff and to only use every 3 or 4 days for the first few weeks and then every 1 or w 2 weeks to keep the dandruff away.. Is this the right stuff or can you link me to some good stuff (I'm in the UK)

This is the one I have

Also I'll check out zeroharts story.

Is finestrade something I get from my go?

Also I'm thinking about buying a liquid minoxidil instead of the regaine foam I use, would it be bad to use a liquid say in the morning and the the foam at night or vice versa or is that too much or bad to use different brands

    I've found s liquid one that's 5% called Kirkland
My regaine foam is also 5%

I would say you are at NW3. The shampoo you got is the right 1, the active ingredient is ketoconazole which is the important stuff. You need a prescription for legit finasteride. It can be prescribe to you by a dermatologist or I heard you can also get it at your GP (general practitioner?). I got mine from a dermatologist so I know that works. Technically, 5% minoxidil is 5% minoxidil whether it's foam or liquid. As long as it gets to your scalp, it's good. Personally, I started out with foam but I found that it some times doesn't fully penetrate my layer of hair on top so I've switched to the liquid minoxidil. Of course, the downside is that foam was very easy to use and doesn't leave any kind of a mess. However, it's all up to you and your preference. Good luck and may you regain your hair soon.

Hi there my Kirkland minoxidil arrived today and I noticed on the box it says just to use it on the top of the head and nowhere else? My problem is at the front, is it worth me even using this?
