Is Retin A (with minoxidil) safe to use after a Hair Transplant?

I read somewhere that one guy had some detrimental effects of using Retin A after his hair transplant. ie. it actually affected the growth of the hair transplant.
Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this and particularly which concentrations of retin A are safe for HTs, as I thought Retin A was good for hair regrowth?

(Most retin A formulations are about 0.025% or 0.01% I think)

As a facial plastic surgeon I have a lot of respect for Retin A, or better yet, Tazorac, for skin aging; but I have not recommended its use on the scalp. Now I think its fine if you are treating your forehead and a LITTLE gets into your hairline, but I wouldn't apply it to your recipient region.

Thanks for the reply Dr Lindsey.

Is the use of azaelic acid (with minoxidil) ok to use in the recipient area then?

I am 2 months out from a HT.
