Dr. Michael Vories- South Carolina ?

I am considering a small FUE procedure in the next year. I live close to a clinic in South Carolina, run by Dr. Michael Vories. He is apparently very experienced with Neograft, and he personally handles all the graft extractions and placement. His work can be seen at carolinahairsurgery.com and on youtube.

I see that he is a recommended surgeon on the Hair Transplant Network, and he is a member of the ISHRS, but not the IAHRS. Could anyone determine whether or not he would be a solid option for me, and perhaps explain why someone with his experience would not be recommended on baldtruthtalk.com and the IAHRS?

Implanter pens

Another aspect of this particular practice that I noticed, is that he uses Hans implanter pens to personally place each graft. Can anyone clarify how this compares to other methods of placing the grafts in the recipient area? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this method?
