RU58841 Compatibilities
Hello everyone,
I've read almost everything out there on RU and am contemplating it, however, there is absolutely no information on how one would start the treatment.
I'm hoping this thread can act as a central place for those who already have decided to take the leap on RU, to find the specifics they need to start the regimen. So with that in mind, here are some questions:
1) Are you using RU alone? If not, what else is in your regimen?
2) What side effects have you experienced? (please also indicate the strength you are using)
3) How often do you apply and how much? I've seen 1ml once a day, but some people also do 1ml twice a day.
4) Do you apply on wet scalp or dry? (after shower or not)
Thanks!

good thread. there's too much information out there.
it's also interesting to see how all the RU threads have become active again recently... people realising it's the only hope?

More like people realising jack shit is being done for a cure so it's back to the shitty treatments we've been stuck with for the past 20 years.
Pathetic.

Sorry hellouser... I dont really understand... RU is not a good treatment, better than Finasterid ? Perhaps you could clarify that for me.

Hellouser made 2 threads that answer all your questions.
With that said I hope he didn't change his tune about ru. Did you hell? Just going off what you just said.
I was debating trying ru with versapro but prob won't after all. I hope cb pans out but I have low hope.

I'm on fin+minoxidil and planning to add RU 5%. I might change fin to dut this winter since I do not have much sides. Sight changes but they fall into a normal physiological range. Those would have been been there even without fins for other reasons like fatigue or stress.
I think it's better to go for the stronger treatment at an early stage since the damage to the follicles are cumulative. All the treatments we have at the moments only buy us more time and early intervention may increase the time significantly.
Just hope to maintain what I have till I turn 50, so I can go for a hair transplant that would give me low density grey hair on the top. That may not be too bad for a man in the 50s.

It still wouldn't be a bad option. I only went with CB because there MIGHT be a chance of quick results, it's my senior year and I'd like to finish it out with a bit more hair lol. RU is non steroidal, but I don't think that will be an issue. I think the worst case when using RU/Versapro will be maintenance. Good luck.
