    Default New hair vs Miniturized

How can you tell between New hair growth vs Miniturized. Does anyone have a pic of early stages of new growth on propecia?

The easiest way to tell the difference is to watch for growth. Miniturized hair are usually stunted and will not get longer or thicker. New hairs will show increased length and diameter over a short period of time. Also miniturized hairs usually have very little pigment, and resemble baby fine blonde hairs.

Hey doc, thanks for the response. Heres alittle more info on my hairs and why its hard for me to tell. These hairs are dark and pretty thick, i noticed them about 2 months ago (about the 8th month mark on propecia) and was sure they were new growth as they are a good amount of them, but now they seemed to have stopped growing at about half an inch long? I would take pics but camera is broken.

Give it a few more months to see if they continue to grow. One half inch is about right for 2 months of growth. The average growth per month is 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Be patient and try to focus on something else that is also important to you. Starring in the mirror will not make the hairs grow any faster. Keep in touch and let us know about your progress.
