HT Update and advice needed on current regime

Hello all. Some of you may remember I had a HT with Dr Feriduni in June of last year. I began finasteride and minox in October of 2013. Initially I started with .25mg EOD and have worked my way up to .75mg every day. However I have not really seen much improvement in the crown area. The HT was to fix the hairline and Im delighted with that aspect. However I am wondering what I need to do to get some growth in the crown. I posted about this a few months ago and the consensus seemed to be to increase the finasteride usage to 1mg every day. Again phrases like receptor upregulation etc are getting thrown around and Im a little lost as to the correct path to take. I have come to the conclusion that increasing the dosage every few months from .25mg has had a negative effect. Do I need to get to 1mg and stay on it for a while to see exactly what is happening? Anything else I can add in?

.75 mg finasteride daily ( Inhouse pharmacy )
12.5% minox cream with azelaic acid ( Belgravia centre....only been using this for 6 weeks )
Regenepure 3 times a week.
Vitamins/minerals etc.
