Default Effects and side-effects, why patience is needed

I want better treatments like everyone else. But keep this in mind.

My hippy mother-in-law often says herbal medicine is great because it works and has no side effects. One of those statements is a lie.

If something works, its going to have side-effects. Its just a question of how often and how severe.

If something truly has no side-effects, its probably not going to work (because it doesn't affect ANYTHING)

Take Avodart. More effective than propecia, but the sexual side effects are even more severe. And measuring side effects takes often years of randomized control trials with double blind placebos.

I for one, don't want burns, scars, or to lose my sexual health.

And that's why we need patience, as hard as it is.
And for those of you on this forum trying to create your own delivery methods and topical creams for stuff that might work....
you can use it for 3 years and then let me know how its going...

Saw Palmetto is natural... and we all know it reduces libido.

The words "natural" or "chemical" are of no meaning in this context. There are artificial substances that have more benefits than harmful effects, and natural substances that have more harmful effects than beneficial effects (snake venom is "natural"). The only way to know for sure is through vigorous testing (double blind placebo controlled) and time.

I dont completely agree. I mean yeah if something works it probably has sides but if CB ends up working twice as well as propecia yet has minor sides I mean that would almost break what your saying because if it works twice as good as propecia you would expect twice the sides but that might not be the case. So its not always that cut and dry but I guess in general concept I agree
Your basing that mostly on what exists now and what we have so far. Future treatments might not always fit that mold
