Will a dermatologist confirm my baldness? [pics]

So here's the link to my pics

So I've been noticing my hair has been receeding since I was 18 (now almost 20) but I'm unsure if this is simply my natural hairline or if I'm actually balding. The reason I think this is that my hairline has barely changed in the past year or so, although has receeded to where it is now, it hasn't really changed TOO much

If I go to a dermatologist, will they be able to CONFIRM for definite if I am balding or not?

I NEVER shed, my hair never sheds, can I still be losing my hair or is it just a mature hairline?

It would be a mature hairline if it were about 3 inches more forward. You're clearly balding, everyone on your moms side has the gene. Looks like you're in the first stage of hair loss: denial.

Everyone sheds hair, there's not a single person with head hair that doesn't shed on this planet. What's important is whether or not it grows back after falling out. From your pictures, I say you are losing it and should act quick if you want to keep what you have. Yes, a dermatologist will be able to confirm that you are losing it as well as prescribe to you one of the best medicines available: propecia/finasteride. I would recommend it with rogaine/minoxidil if you want to deal with your hair loss.

Edit: If you want to know what mature hairline looks like, google up Pierce Brosnan. That's a true mature hairline.

I see, I'm starting to accept that I am likely losing my hair.

One of the main reasons I am not accepting that it's not a maturing hairline is because I don't "shed" yes I probably shed in the way that everyone does, but I don't lose hairs in the shower, I don't lose any when I run my hands through there etc and I'm afraid that propecia will cause me to shed and I'll be worse off

          Cheers

In my research for my own hair loss, I have not found a photo documented case where propecia/rogaine long term makes hair loss worse. Yes, there will be early shedding stages, but that just means the meds are working. If you get no side effects, ride out the shedding stages and there will be hope.
