Gordon Ramsay hair

Only just noticed, this was in the news recently, so we may as well talk about it.

So Gordon Ramsay usually has highlighted or blonde hair - but for some reason he chose a completely different colour for this piece that he's wearing here.
For years he has had blonde looking hair, which is part of his recognisable image.
So why would he draw attention, by chosing this completely different colour?

Not to mention, what is going on at the back?
I don't know what to say. The back is so weird.
There is not even any attempt to have it blend in with what is going on at the back.

Also rather surprising that some papers don't recognise it as a piece. He's made it more than obvious.
I don't get why he would go to so much trouble, and then apparently stop half way through - making this rather obvious that something is going on?

About 1 month later - it looks completely different. It looks amazing! It's like normal hair now
How has he done this?

If you look at the article, the first image is the new hair. Then the next 2 images, show a direct comparison between the new hair and the old hair.
I like the new hair.

So how do you think he has acheived this?
Where did he go, what did he have done? Discuss
