    Default Generic Proscar - UK?

Hi all, nice to find a good forum with a wide range of resources

I'm 30 and been on fin for the last 5-6 years and minox on/off for the same time (off at the moment for the past 2 months). I haven't had any major miracles and don't expect any from this point onwards...

My main question is that I've been using generic proscar made by pfizer for the past year and this is about to run out. Other thanpaying ££££ out for the brand name version, I'm a bit stuck as to where to get this from as my source has now stopped supplying this so I'm a bit stuck.

    Any advice/alternatives? GP's? sites etc?

Thanks for your help in advance!

You can email Dr Steve Edgar who is a GP in the UK who I now recommend people to since other Gp's i previously recommended have stopped due to illness or workload.

Many patients have been using Dr Edgar's service to obtain 5mg Proscar and 5mg generic for a while now and he also prescribes Dutasteride too.

He requires patients fill out an online consent form in order to fulfil GMC regulations/requirements.

Email him directly on : DrStevengedgar@gmail.com

He charges approx £200 for 5mg Proscar and £170 for generic 5mg finasteride for 14 months supply.

I believe he charges £300 for 6 months Dutasteride however speak to him directly and confirm.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll look into it. Can I just confirm that thst cost is right though? Its just that my last supply which I got about 15 months was only £100....might find it tough to splash out the remainder

I believe they are his prices. You best email him directly and ask.
I have never heard of 15 months supply of finasteride for £100... I dont know where you got it from but thats very very cheap, I would question legitimacy possibly.
    All the best

Hi, Dr Ashcroft was my GP years ago :-) , good guy!
I made many guys aware of him over the years. Difficult to get hold of these days though, if at all. I dont know how you get 15 months supply unless you are cutting the tabs into 6ths + - however £100 I agree is very cheap, but getting via him rest assured is fine - he too is a legitimate source. As you mentioned he's not about these days though.

Dr Edgar is certainly helpful and if cost is an issue i suggest you simply direct your question to him and see if he is able to help you on cost. If you dont ask, you dont get as they say and he might he able to offer you cheaper option.

    Best of luck!
    Regards

Yeah, he's been good to me for the last couple of years. My last order was 3 packs of 28 tablets each, cut down into 5th's and equalling 420 days, it was actually only £80 as I've just checked.

Ideally a repeat of the same would be great but as you say, I've not been able to contact him so I'm not sure where he stands with this nowadays. I guess, as you say, I can always ask Dr Edgar but I doubt I'll get anywhere.

The thought was coming through my mind to come off fin anyway. I've lost some gains I think because my minox foam intake has stopped for the last 2 months and even then I was only doing it once, say 5 out of 7 days so there's not the greatest amount of hair to battle with now anyway. I was even tempted to just top fin and get back onto minox foam and try and stick to a more regimented regime.

    I'm not sure I guess.... :s
