really red after dermaroller on strip scar

Hi, I just started using dermaroller for my strip scar from a previous hair transplant. I'm only using .5 mm but the area has become really red . Even 24 hours later, there's no sign of the redness fading, is this common ? I've only used it once so far and applied Vitamin E oil on it afterwards .
