    Shaving your head

    Spencer made a point on the podcast that I wanted to see if you guys agreed with.

    He said basically that if you have any type of hair transplant, either FUE or FUT, that you will never be able to shave your head to the skin again because of the scarring -- essentially that it was an irreversible decision.

    Have any of you that have gone under the knife tried to go back to the shaved head look? Are the scars apparent when you cut down to skin?

    I am specifically wondering about FUE, but any experience would be appreciated.

    I had a HT 14 yrs ago and buzz it with a 1 1/2 guard all over
    the scar isn't noticeable to those who don't know what they are looking for.

    Anyone can always shave their head to the bone later on but you would have to be able to live with the scars that do show

      @zigoberth I am looking for the same wanted to know how fue scars look when shaven down to skin? I’ve seen pics of hairs pulled out Via fue from the beard to the scalp and no scars on the face. By any chance any update from this question @zigoberth? Thank you

        I've been shaving my head since I was 25, it's a beautiful art.

        What you THINK you need;

        1) quality razor
        2) quality shaving cream
        3) aftershave

        WHAT YOU REALLY NEED:

        1) cheaper quality razor that has thinner, more spread out blades that conforms to the shape of your skull. The best blades I have ever used came from wish.com where I bought 15 blades for $5.

        2) MOISTURIZER, not shaving cream. Moisturizer softens hair much better and works much better on the scalp than with shaving cream.

        3) aftershave is unnecessary and dries the scalp. The best thing to do after shaving your head is to rinse it in warm water and let it air dry. Then, reuse the same moisturizer you used to shave it with.

        You may be thinking it's not going to make a big difference, but just try it once and you'll see.
