Anyone know what womens DHT levels are?
I was wondering what womens DHT levels are compared with that of men. Is a man who is taking 1mg of finasteride and cutting DHT levels by 60%, have more or less DHT than a woman? Or does a woman have around the level of a man who is taking dutasteride?
I ask because my mother is 57 and suffers from female pattern baldness. She's not completely bald or anthing, just thinning. I guess even if a keep inhibiting DHT, I end up like her at least...

Woman are balding so rapidly like man in this century, I reckon they giving us shit to accelerate hairloss, food plus water is a easy source to add shit that increases DHT.

I don't really know, but what I do know is that after menopause, women's estrogen level go south while their T/DHT level rise up. That is why many women suffer hairloss after their menopause.

I'm curious too, my mother is the only one in my family suffering from hairloss and I think I'm following suit due to my receeding hairline

Hi, it doesn't seem like there is a lot of information about DHT in women; But, here is a somewhat educated guess:
Men produce 20 times more testosterone than women, and about ~5% of this testosterone undergoes 5α-reduction to form the more potent androgen, dihydrotestosterone.
So if a woman is getting hair loss, and the hair loss is from DHT, they have to be incredibly sensitive to DHT. I'd guess there are more factors, you should read on it! I simply don't know everything when it comes to female hair loss, I have heard it can come after child birth with stress and with lactation at it requires a lot of nutrients. But I would never recommend taking drugs for hair loss, as these drugs has proven to be capable of inducing severe side irreversible side effects.
