Hair today, gone tomorrow. Starting the war on hair loss!

Ok, so my hair is offski! I have known for a while that it was going, maybe as far back as 9/10 years (I’m 31 now) and was happy to accept it, believed I couldn’t fight the inevitable and just carried on living life with it always in the back of my mind. I wouldn’t’’t say it depressed me or upset me, although obviously if I had the choice to have a full head of hair I would.

I know little about hair loss, I remember reading once you get it from your mum’s side (which would make sense if true) as my uncle is completely bald, whereas my dad and half-brother have thick dark hair (sucks to be me!!)

Recently I’ve become a lot more concerned about my pending baldness, purely as mates I haven’t seen in a while are making comments, again, it’s not something that makes my incredibly sad but I am now at a stage where I am very interested to see if there is anything I can do to even hold on to what I’ve got, any regrowth would be a massive bonus!

Over the last few weeks I’ve read and watched on YouTube, countless horror stories of the horrible side effects people have experienced while using Propecia and Regaine which has definitely made me a little apprehensive with regards to trying them but I am also aware that without them the game is lost.

If anyone can give me a little advice on what to try, starting dosage amounts and what to look out for I’d greatly appreciate it. Also anyone who has any genuine experience with using either products would be a massive help if you could share some experience with me.

I have attached some photos so you can see where I am at.

    Thanks in advance

Go for the big 3 of finasteride, minoxidil and nizoral. Maybe start off with 0.5g fin a day and slowly increase it to 1mg daily. And also start minoxidil once a day them gradually go to twice a day. Nizoral every 3-5 days. Good luck

You can go online and read horror stories about nearly every product or service in existence.

It was inevitable that I would revisit this thread, wasn't it! So, I didn't start with the Fin, got put off by the horror stories and swerved it. I've been using rogain/minox for over a year and not sure if it's made any difference, no serious sides but I definitely get the occasional short-term memory loss.

After speaking with a friend I've decided to give fin a go and will order some today, do people recommend starting a lower dose and building up?

        Hope you're all doing well!

Did it get any worse after 3 years?
