Am i balding or just paranoid? Pics included

I'm 24 and am not sure if my hairline is simply maturing or balding. I've had this concern for quite a few years and every time I cut my hair short like in these pics I get shocked by how deep my hairline is. I've had long curly (afro-like) hair during most of my teenage years up into my early 20s so I've never really been used to seeing my hairline a lot, but lately I've been cutting it short. So is this just a mature hairline or is it likely I'm balding?

If its any help my father has a similar if somewhat slightly more receded hairline yet he's held that up into his 60s

I definitely see some thinning and receding. You might want to consider taking Finasteride at this stage.

I should mention that i cut the sides shorter than the central part of my hair, could that account for the thinning/receding you see? But thank you for the reply and suggestion!

What is your mother's father's hair like? Mother's brothers?

Mothers father never lost his hair, same with her step brothers (who shared the same father) so far, their ages range between 30s-60s mostly. My fathers father did go bald however. My fathers hairline is very similar to mine currently, not sure how he looked at my age though. I'm thinking of starting Finastiride within the next year, maybe if i see more hair loss. I wouldn't want to be taking it unless I'm absolutely sure I'm going through mpb. A question though, does someone have to keep taking Finastiride their entire lives to stop the balding process?

Odds are in your favor, you have nothing to worry about. Often times a young guy will become fixated on recession. Keep an eye on miniaturization (thinning). If you're in the Atlanta area, we do HairCheck at N/C. HairCheck provides hair mass comparisons. These numbers are kept on file and in another 3 years or so, those original numbers can be compared with new HairCheck numbers. If thinning is revealed, you should consider the various treatment options like finasteride and minoxidil.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I live nowhere near the US haha I should mention that two of my mothers stepbros are going bald but they're in their 40s. If I'm headed on the same path I imagine I have ample time to address the issue.
