Should I not go the Finasteride route based on other health issues?

    Hi all,
I know there a lot of finasteride posts, and wanted to see if I could add one too it. With more specific details based on my situation.

I just turned 30, and want to get off Rogaine (been on it for 6 years.. was using way too much at one point 8 ml twice a day.. dropped to 4 ml twice a day, still more than recommended 1ml) and was curious about Finasteride.

I have had fatigue for several years, which Ifound out in the last 6 months is Chronic Mono. However, now that I've changed my diet, sleep, and vitamins, I'm feeling a lot better.

When I was 16/17, I took Accutane for acne. After going off of it, I started seeing my testicles decrease in size by about half. Doctors still say they are normal size, or within normal range, but there is definitely a sizable difference. After researching recently, there are numerous reports of Testicular Atrophy from Accutane and one article I was proposing that Accutane and Finasteride shared some similar side effects (and worked in a similar way if I recall). Additionally, my libido lessened as well (may not be related to it, could have been something else that occurred around the same time).

I was wondering what everyone's opinion is concerning if I should give Finasteride a try, based on my previous and current health issues.

Definitely would prefer to keep my hair, as I'm 30 and looking to get married and want to put myself in the best situation. But at the same time, don't want to risk health either.

Thanks for any input you can provide,

You already know the basic decision whether to keep your hair with finasteride by taking a slight risk with health or losing hair. I mean its your decision no one can make it for you. Its a safe drug for the last 20 years, but no one can ever assure you a drug is perfectly safe and tomorrow we find out it causes some problem we never about
