I want to get on Rogain/Minoxidil without it exacerbating my dandruff issues, advice?

Anyone here (who's had dandruff problems they need to constantly control) had any luck with minoxidil not making the problem worse? I ask because the last time I used it (several years ago) it got really itchy and made my dandruff worse.

Any advice?

When I used liquid minoxidil it gave me bad dandruff. I haven't had any dandruff since switching to foam minoxidil.

Funny this happened to me. I used a lot of minox and it would make get dandruff and shed. So i stoped using for 2 days. Continued my use of a keto shampoo and used minox again but not as much as before and my scalp is fine. If i were to get dandruff again i would get the foam version and have it turn into liquid so ican use it. My hair is a bit long so foam wouldnt really help.
