Dr. Lindsey 80s plug repair McLean VA

This nice fellow grew up in my area, even had his teeth pulled by the same oral surgeon that I did, and on whom we did and posted a hair case last year....

Well this fellow came in with complaints of too thin and too pluggy of a hairline secondary to several plug cases in the 80s. Although his preop pictures don't show it as well as in person viewing, he really had quite a thin hairline and in normal daylight, it was obvious that he'd had work that would now be considered poor. However, for the time that he had the work done, it looks good...he has good growing hair where he was previously bald! As I've posted gobs of times before, all we really need to do is plant lots more "trees" in his underpopulated and organized "Christmas tree farm", and an irregular "forest" should grow. He does have enough hair to do second case later on and deal with some of his exposed crown.

He also wears a short haircut which shows his old plug scarring...and which for a time will show his strip scar, but I believe he's willing to let the hair grow a little in the back to hide this.

He is a pretty conversive guy and promised that he'd blog if I referred to him as "the handsome man from Virginia". So hopefully he'll chime in.

Shown are preop, intraop, day 3, and day 7 pictures. He ought to be back in a month for a scar check.

Let me make one more attempt at a response. Had surgeries (5) from 1989 through 1991, the last one being 1-4-91. During the past 23 plus years the original hair surrounding the grafts fell out, leaving only the grafts.
Those grafts continued to grow but were obviously not normal in appearance (large, in rows, etc).
I had accepted this until, just by chance, I came across information about Dr Lindsey in Va. After a lot of reading I determined that Doctor Lindsey, with all of his credentials, and being close (Virginia practice), was worth a visit.
That visit took place in May of this year, which led to a July "corrective" surgery.
I am now 18 days post-op and waiting for the results. I believe that with Dr Lindsey's credentials (which are quite impressive) and skills, along with his great staff, the results should be remarkable.
I will add that for anyone in my position (surgeries from the 80s and 90s/old techniques) you should at least talk with Dr Lindsey and see what he thinks he can do. He appears to be a "straight shooter" and will tell you what he truly thinks.
Also know that he and his staff deal with only one client per day so all efforts that particular day pertain to you only. In my opinion he is worth a phone call.
"Time will tell" regarding my decision. I think I made the right one!
*And yes Dr Lindsey, you will see me next month for my scar check.

          Plug repair

I will make the attempt. With my computer skills it's hard to say what will happen.
I did purchase a new laptop so hopefully that will help.
See you next month. Tell your staff I said hi!

It was good hearing everything looked as it should on my scar checkup. Just waiting for your correction to take shape. With your skills, credentials, and great staff, I am looking forward to a great result!

Thanks for the comment. Glad your new computer is agreeing with you. See you in 2014...unless your girlfriend drags you up to our area to Christmas shop.
