Sprouting new hairs 21 days post-op. Possible?
21 days post op. Majority of grafts have shed over the last week.
Now I am noticing a number of follicles that look like they have sprouted. So either the transplanted grafts have literally broken off right above the skin (unlikely), some of the grafts ARE already sprouting, or something else is happening that I have figured out yet.
The first two options seem unlikely. But if those "sprouts" arent my transplanted grafts and they aren't the new hair growing, then what am I seeing? And just to clarify, these grafts are in my frontal third, and I have looked at the area VERY closely every day for 3 weeks and saw none of the original grafts originally transplanted with just a sprout over the skin level.
Any ideas?
Cheers

You should post photos of the area transplanted both before and now. Most likely any hairs that you see now are not transplanted hairs but hairs that were in the area before the transplant.
Be patient and remember they will grow but not for three months.

I can confidently say these hairs are not in a diffuse thinning area so I am not making that mistake. And they look like a face would if that didn't get shaved for a day.
From what I understand every individual's recovery is like a point on a bell curve. Some people never regrow hair (one extreme) others never shed their grafts (other extreme).
I only posted to see if there was something I missed. Most likely its growth of the new grafts, which could shed again for all I know. There is at least one person who posted on this site that had that happen.
Or maybe its something else that I'm simply missing.
