    Default Finasteride and itchy scalp

    Hi,

Been on Finasteride for 4 months. Not noticed any slowing down of hair loss yet and certainly no gains - although I'm aware it's still early days.

A question I have though is - Can you still have an itchy scalp if Finasteride is working?

I read having an itchy scalp and hair loss go hand in hand. So, I'm thinking Fin may not be working for me because my scalp is still really itchy at times.

Has anyone experienced Finasteride working despite having an itchy scalp?

Ok, maybe an easier question.... has anyone experienced any effects on their itchy scalps? Has Finasteride stopped the itchiness or made it worse?

I've been on propecia for years and still experience an itchy scalp at times. It's worked well for me so I would not worry about it. When the itch starts I just use either head and shoulders or T-Gel for a few days. I've also use tea-tree oil shampoos that seem to work pretty well to relieve any itching as well

I find Regenepure daily and hair oils weekly help a lot that's only if Finsteride is working, the it h is associated with inflammation from DHT.

As far as I know there is no established link between that itch and MPB. It seems to be very common, but I dont think there is any proven link between them

Yea, no proven link but I believe in the MPB itch 100%. I suffered from it pretty bad, especially in the temples + crown. fin/dut and RU both eliminated my itch. so maybe fin isn't working for you. who knows.

Ye, I definitely feel the itch in the areas I'm losing my hair. I've just started on Regenpure shampoo, so hopefully that will help with the itch/hairloss. I've only been on Fin for 4 months so hopefully it's still too early to say the Fin isn't working :-/
