It only show that the immune system was working on the area of balding.
That doesn't show that MPB is a disease of the immune system it self.

Plus, we lose our hair over a long period of time... sometime it take 20 or 30 years of losing hair to have lose them all. An auto-immune disease act fast!

Alopecia areata and Alopecia universalis are viewed as an autoimmune disorder/disease, in which the immune system, designed to protect the body from foreign invaders, mistakenly attacks the hair follicles. On the other hand male pattern baldness also referred to as androgenic alopecia is triggered by DHT. Some researchers believe that miniaturized follicles become altered to the degree that the body begins treating them like a foreign object. In other words the body's immune system finishes off the miniaturizing hair follicles. Some evidence of this relates to corticosteroids. They suppress the body's immune system and some like Cordran SP have a listed side effect of excessive hair growth.
