Dr. Xu and ramatroban
Dr. Xu asked me if any of you guys know anything about the effects of ramatroban on hairloss. He was curious to know if anyone had tried it and had had any effect. Don't know anything other than that. obviously the whole PGD2 equation is still interesting to researchers though. thanks

You know you're screwed when your doctor is asking you what works and what doesn't.
Oh lawd.

Something definitely worth looking into in my opinion.

When it comes to using prostaglandins, isn't a lot of it going to have to do with having a delivery vehicle that would get the medication to the root? Even expert experimenters on here don't have access to the technology or medical knowledge that would allow them to alter the medication from its available form such that it would be able to soak in on that level and hence enable them to report meaningful results about how effective it is or not. Perhaps someone with access to these resources, such as Dr. Xu, should conduct some experiments.

There is a thread about this on Hair loss help. They don't seemed to do anything notable...

If you are still in contact with Dr Xu, please show him this:

Its a gpr44 blocker which has finished phase 3 trials shouldnt they be able to take this and put it into a lotion straight away as it has already proven to be safe?

Sorry for bump, but this is a big deal I reckon. Here we have a pgd2 blocker which has finished phase 3 trials. sdsurfin could you mention it to Dr Xu? In the recent hair conference Cotsarelis said that all the pgd2 blockers only went to the pre clinical stage, doesn't he know about this blocker? Also he showed they could reverse the pgd2 inhibition with a blocker, so since this is already approved it shouldn't take to long to formulate it for hair etc.

Ramatroban is available on the Kane shop here
http://www.thekaneshop.com/index.php...troban-1g.html
BUT, is this soluble in the standard Eth/PG vehicle?
In the HLH link, the ONE guy that used it, used DMSO to dissolve which is now well known to be irritant and could be counter productive to hair growth.
Is the vehicle the issue with Ram?

As many may know ramat is available premixed at iron dragon.
