alternative treatment list
So I'm debating which of the following I should try, as I can't handle propecia and minox isn't working for me. Might do 2 of them even.
PRP injections
iGrow Laser
topical fin from Hasson and Wong (they said they've had favorable results)
RU
dermaroll
CB
laser therapy from dr yates office weekly

-Prp injections IMO are way too expensive in terms of benefit:cost, and from what I've gathered you need multiple sessions and the effects vary among patients
- again from what I've read and from what I've been told by a few dermatologists and a prominent hair specialist is that lasers are expensive treatments that have little to no efficacy and just because some people point out that they are FDA approved doesn't mean that they will work, only that they are safe to use.
I would skip on the CB as there is no known vehicle yet, and would go with the topical finasteride and possibly using Ru since they both have a good clinical background in terms of effectiveness.
Again these are just my opinions, good luck with whichever treatment you choose.

There is a misguided and dangerous idea that RU is a safe treatment. It's unbelievably the amount of posts with people recommending the use of it, even for young guys.
People are not considering the long term risks. They think that if nothing bad happened in three years of usage, then everything is safe and fine.

yeah I always found it hard to believe how many people quickly recommend RU as some fin alternative as if its some safe well studied chemical for hair loss because it had a few small studies on it.
Its a purely experimental chemical no one has any idea what it does long term. Fin has 5 and even 10 year studies and has been in real world use for 20+ years. RU has nothing on it in terms of safety just because its a topical

To be really objective here based out of user experience people generally have less side effects with RU than finasteride or dutasteride. But yeah it is a experimental. 5ar2 inhibition is outdated though, the pharmacological action of RU and cb-03-01 is better and more efficient. CB-03-01 will be even better..(no possible side effects in theory). I think RU was a financial hurdle if not everyone would be on RU here lol.

I had a few articles regarding Ru but deleted them a while ago, I can search them up again if you like. But like Swooping said, Ru would probably have been another treatment had it not been for the financial hurdles and effectiveness. I recently spoke with Dr Jerry Shapiro, who is one of the top hair specialist in the world, and asked him about Ru. Basically he told me that he was interested in it a long while back and was willing to fund it, but apparently the cost:benefit wasn't that great when comparing it with current treatments like finasteride as well as Ru's projected profitability would not have been that great.
