I share a little of my story and get down to my question.
I'm 21, pride myself in my looks, and my hair. I'd consider myself a pretty vain person so luckily I noticed i may be losing hair about 1 year ago. People thought I was crazy, I certainly had some doubt whether or not I was right about whether or not I was losing hair. But after 6 months, and a hair cut I was certain my temples were receding. For another few months I waiting in denial before finally going to a dermatologist to get Finasteride. I'm one week short of finishing my 3rd prescription (3 months) and recently started using Nizoral. I don't know if dandruff is a side effect of Finasteride, but I started to get an itchy scalp and a lot of dandruff. This had never really happened before, could have been a coincidence. Anyway, I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and get Nizoral for the hairloss and the dandruff. The Dermatologist also recommended Biotin 5000mg to strengthen the hair I have.
To wrap this up, I obviously have no doubt I suffer from male pattern baldness now, from what I can tell the only affected area is the very front of my head. A decent amount of temporal recession, and a bit of thinning in the center. I guess I'm at a NW2, but its hard to pinpoint where I am at.
So, If I'm only suffering from mild-average frontal hair loss, should I add minoxidil to my regimen? And if I do, and I have Fin, Minox, and Nizoral what are realistic expectations for regrowth where hair is thin, regrowth towards the forehead, and the halting of any further loss.
