    Default Uk fue recommendations!

Hi im a 26m from the UK, im a NW2/2.5 i suspect, i first noticed hairloss at about 17 and since then it has progressed very slowly. I started minoxidil on the hairline about 3 months ago and about a month ago started noticing a new growth of lighter hairs along the hairline, good news!

Im considering a small 500/700 fue surgery jist to push the hairline forward to make me a bit more comfortable with it so i can stop wearing a fringe 24/7 (as far as i know noone has ever noticed my hairline, a blessing and a curse)

Are there any super strong recomendations for UK fue specialists that would not require me to buzz my hair at the front?

My hairloss is nil behind my hairline so it would not require hair input in locations where there is hair currently.

I know most peoples standard response may be "dont waste your time" or "you dont need it" or the ever classic "500 fues wont make any difference" so please try to stay on topic, it is much appreciated!

    Much love,

    JJ

I work at Dr. Cole's office here in Atlanta. A year after surgery, you'll see the full result and 500 grafts will be a disappointment. If your hair is fine caliber, you'll be kicking yourself. 1,200 to 1,400 will usually be worth the wait. These all need to be singles for a natural looking hairline. I just asked Dr. Cole about hair transplant doctors in the UK.

We perform a non-shaven procedure. If travelling to the East Coast of the US is not practical for you, I would recommend Dr. Mwamba in Belgium. Nice guy and you'll get a natural appearing result. Trust me, I see a lot of work come through our doors and an unnatural looking hair transplant is worse than major hair loss. A talented hair transplant can accurately reproduce what appears in nature and no one will be able to tell.

Yes that's true, the thinner the hair caliber, the less visual coverage attained.

Dr Jose Lorenzo JamieJames. He is in the Uk for a limited amount of time at the Farjo Clinic. Dr Reddy also does good Fue and then there are a host of good surgeons in Belgium.

Check out the recommended list on the site.

Unfortunately no one here knows for sure what will or will not be a good number for you as there are no photos to judge your case. 500 to 700 may be fine or they may be a waste of time or somewhere in between. Regardless, to answer your question about FUE in the UK, there are two words; Jose Lorenzo. Done.

Ragu Reddy is doing some of the best FUE in the UK. You should check out his patients on this site. There is Mwamba and Bisanga and Feriduni in Belgium and two really great FUE surgeons in Turkey, Dr. Hakan Doganay and Dr. Koray Erdogan. Several really good choices if you consider the possibility of traveling.

Lorenzo or Mwamba do great work. Dr. Cole likes both Lorenzo and Mwamba. I know Patrick M., so I would lean toward his clinic. Just make sure to keep the doctor you decide upon as non negotiable. Don't let any clinic talk you into an alternative, like robotic hair transplantation.

Years ago, I considered getting a small procedure to make my hairline look more natural. I let my hair grow and cut off about 2 inches. I counted out hairs equalling approx. a 700 graft session. The hair didn't amount to much, so I went with a 1,400 graft session.

Brussels is a little over 200 miles from London.

I also agree that Drs. Mwamba and Lorenzo do great FUE work including repair and some of the best work in Europe...
