    Minoxidil making things worse?

I have been using minoxidil with azelaic acid for 7 weeks on my hairline. If anything it has made things worse and I have noticed an increase in shedding though nothing dramatic (maybe max 40 hairs a day).

Should I just ride this out and hope for the best?

How long have people started to notice results with minoxidil?

Yes, ride it out. Shedding on minoxidil is normal, and the fact that you're shedding is a sign that the treatment is working.

I started to see regrowth after about 4 or 5 months.

Did you notice things getting worse before they got better then?

Yea I did shed quite a bit and my crown was thinner than before for a few months. It's normal, and you should be more worried if you didn't shed, as the shedding is a sign it's working. All treatments tend to cause shedding in the begining. If you google it or use the search function on this site, you will see that this is supposed to happen. If I remember correctly, regain/rogain adress this on their site as well.

Don't worry, the shedding is a good thing.

Ride it out. I was shedding ALOT on it and almost quit. Around 6 months it started to get better.

Would you say you are better or worse off than before you started?

I'd say I'm better off. I really thought I was one of those that claim it doesn't work for them, but I decided to just keep going and one day i just stopped shedding.

I experience the same thing and it shed for about 8-9 weeks. I started to see some result by month 4-5. I was quite satisfied for a while. However, the result only lasted for few month and it started to fall again. Rogaine never stopped. Anyone experience this?

I have been on Minox since September 2013. I am still shedding alot. It sucks. i do not know if it is the Minoxidil causing the shed or just MPB progressing so bad that I am itching and shedding alot. It sucks. My hair is so thin. I mean it has been 9 months. This cannot be working right? I guess I am going to ride it out at least 4 more months.

Are you using the liquid or foam?

Foam. I use it once a night but one full cap.

I use more than that. I usually just put the nossle on the areas I want the minoxidil to hit and rub it in. I had bad itching and redness but I use Mizoram and rub it in good and let it sit for like ten minutes. I alternate with T gel. And use the foam twice a day not once
