    Default Fin/Dut and Beard Growth

    Hi guys.

I've been on fin for 2+ years but am now thinking of introducing dutasteride once a week. However, I'm worried that blocking that much DHT will have an adverse effect on my beard growth. Any thoughts?

I don't have great facial hair growth anyway, and certainly don't want to take Dut is there's a chance it might inhibit my beard any further.

So, is there any correlation between strong DHT blockers and beard growth?

    Many thanks in advance

i beleive dut has slightly reduced my beard growth...have heard others say the same

didn't have this problem with fin

just decide if it is worth it for you, it wont be drastic...you could always get off if it really effects ur beard

Cheers for your input, Dan. I guess it's a case of just trying it and seeing how it goes. So long as none of the changes are drastic, it should be cool.

    Thanks buddy

I forgot to ask - just out of interest, how often are you taking Dut?

I'm thinking of just taking it once or (maybe) twice a week.

I wish fin/dut could inhibit beard growth. I wouldn't have to shave every 3-4 days.

i use it daily bro 0.5mg

it took 5 months on fin and an additional 5 on dut before i noticed any change in facial hair. Basically a patchy area that had recently grown in before i started on fin reverted back to it's previous patchy state

I would be curious to see how dut changes beard growth if taken before you got facial hair like how much of a change there is verses taking it after you have the facial hair. I would think there are differences there but how drastic really are they with density, growth rates?

    This is my main concern.

I'm on finansteride and have barely developed any beard. I'm 19 years old and my family has very strong beard genetics. Been on fin for a month, hope it won't affect my beard development

I can't say about DUT, but can say propecia did nothing to slow down my facial hair. Over the winter I went about 4.5 months without shaving- it was quite thick and never stopped growing. I don't know if this would be true if you don't have a beard yet as I have read that DHT is responsible for triggering beard growth.
