Default When Should You Stop Using Rogaine After No Results?

i've been using rogaine regularly for over a year now on the hairline and have only lost ground. i believe it's safe to conclude the treatment just does not work for me

should i just discontinue it? i am 100 percent sure i have lost ground on my hairline and have seen no regrowth whatsoever...

It's not working, you should see results after four months.

Are you also on either Fin/Dut?

Only the luckiest of people will experience regrowth or thickening in the hairline and temple region with just Rogaine alone. Even using Fin in combination with Rogaine is not always successful in maintaing the hairline as the frontal region has proven to be the hardest to treat.

If you do decide to go off it just be careful. I recommend a slow taper. Perhaps twice daily application every other day, once the other days for a whole month, then once a day for a month, then every other day for a month, then maybe once a week.

Why don't you try 12.5 percent to 15 % minoxdil

Hey buddy. I tried minoxidil for a year and then gave up.

I gave up cos I saw no results and it also triggered alopecia areata (small bald patches in my beard and sides/back of scalp). I didn't experience any major shedding or anything when I came off (note I'm also on finasteride). Personally, I think minoxidil is nasty stuff and a bit of an expensive gimmick.
