    Unhappy Is this alarming?

Hi, I'm 28 years old. I'm diagnosed Androgenic Alopecia.
My question is when I'm going to lose hair, becouse I want to hold my hair up to the 40's.

    How bad is this?

There is really no way of telling how long you will hold on to your hair. I have seen guys on here lose a few norwoods worth of hair in only a couple of years while others progress over decades.

What I can tell you is if you decide to treat your hair loss, your odds of keeping your hair longer will increase.

By the way, your hair loss isn't alarming, it's shocking. JK

Your hairloss isn't bad, don't listen to that douche. You can go on treatment, but please be aware there are side effects to Finasteride.

Thank you for your answers people.
    More pictures:

By the way, I'm on Minox 2% for 1-2 weeks.
I hope I don't get bald before my 40-50. After that, it doesn't matter to me

Your hair actually isn't that bad at all. Are you willing to use finasteride? That alone can buy you years of time. Also consider moving to 5% minox.

Honestly, you should get in shape before you worry about your hairline. Good hair is pretty common. Physical fitness is uncommon. Your hairline is out of your control. But you can always lose weight and get in shape. Plus as a bonus, being healthy and fit will slow the process of hair loss.

How do you know he isn't in shape? The bolded part of your post is just wrong.

In the second pictures he posted it's very obvious he's out of shape. Lot of face fat, no muscle tone in his arms. And no that's not wrong at all...unless you're Norwood 5 at age 21 (in which case I feel for you heartily) lifestyle is indisputably linked to the rapidity with which baldness progresses. Especially the bald spot on top. It's medical fact.

Point me to some medical documentation. I would love to read it. I am 37 and have been in shape my entire adult life. Didn't stop my hair loss at all.

I looked at that second pic. You got me on that one.
